The Birchwood Residence

Renderings: Elizabeth Kudick | Design: Violet Mae Interiors

The Birchwood Residence is a conceptual study composed from our studio’s most enduring references—an atelier of form, material, and proportion. Pale stone, deeply grained wood millwork, and sculptural lighting establish a restrained palette, while arched thresholds and tailored cabinetry introduce softness through structure. Each space is treated as a composition, allowing light and material to lead with intention rather than excess.

Throughout the home, our studio favorites recur with quiet confidence: honed stone surfaces, warm woods, subtle brass accents, and softened architectural gestures layered with precision. Kitchens and baths read as architectural statements—clean, disciplined, and deliberate—while living and dining spaces rely on rhythm, texture, and scale to create atmosphere.

Birchwood exists as a reflection of our design language and process, illustrating how a homeowner’s vision is refined, edited, and brought into focus through clarity, restraint, and a distinctly considered point of view.

The Home, In Plan

At the earliest stage, the home is resolved on paper — through floor plans and two-dimensional renderings that quietly define scale, flow, and intention.

These drawings serve as a working reference for both contractors and homeowners, establishing clarity and alignment before the process evolves into fully realized visual storytelling.

The Home, Rendered

Developed by our studio, the renderings of The Birchwood Residence present the home as a studied composition — an interplay of material, scale, and light shaped with intention. Honed stone, richly grained wood, softened architectural forms, and calibrated lighting are layered to articulate how each space unfolds, allowing the residence to be experienced in atmosphere as much as in form.

These images reflect our design process and point of view, offering a refined, immersive understanding of the home well before construction begins. This same editorial approach is applied to every project, giving clients a considered preview of their own residence as vision is edited, clarified, and brought into focus.
